Commercial Street Cafe is an independent coffee shop in Vancouver, nestled in the Cedar Cottage neighbourhood, in the heritage Gow Block building on historic Commercial Street – minutes away from Trout Lake.
Cafe owners and long time residents of the neighbourhood came together in 2012 to open what would soon become a staple of the community. The idea was to make the cafe feel like an extension of home when you come for a visit; a place to kick back and catch up with friends and neighbours. Nothing pretentious, just a place that has the feel of something from before.

Lots has changed over the years with the food we offer. Trying new things and adapting has always been part of the journey. We hope to humbly bring comfort and something from home whenever you are here.

As a small local cafe, where a lot of our customers are neighbours and even friends, we strive for inclusiveness and comfort and easy above anything else. The community is important to us, as is participating whenever we can with gratitude, for the time and experiences we have had on our little corner of the street are only possible because of all the people around us.
